Fr Richard Leonard had us laughing and sometimes almost crying as we listened to his stories. He referred to his latest book “Why God? Stories to Inspire Faith” as he led us through the liturgical year, devotional practices and the Gospel with stories of compassion, acceptance and misunderstandings – with songs to illustrate!   He is conscious of the gift of storytelling he learned from his family, and we appreciated the wisdom he shared. He has learned from the experience of his extended family, from pastoral work as well as the study of Scripture and theology. All this delivered with the skill of a man who is a media expert.
