It was a delight to see so many pouring into the crypt to hear Paul Collins speak on “Beyond Priests. The Future of Ministry in the Catholic Church”.
Drawing on his expertise as an historian, Paul outlined the development of the priesthood as we presently experience it and asked whether it was historically the best model, and, given that the average age of Australian priest is 75, is it sustainable?
