T S Eliot
Presented by Matthew del Novo Phd
This course will cover Eliot’s poetry from Prufrock to Four Quartets and the emphasis will be on the spiritual sense of the poems. Eliot has a poetic voice that reaches into our time. Eliot’s poetry is condensed and integral, but at the same time multifaceted and one can detect the influence of Eastern thought, of Dante, as well as his professed Christianity, that of the Church of England, a church that has always been especially close to literature and poetry as a rule. Matthew will give readings of the text to catch the aural images, and also talk about poetic experience or soulfulness, which lays the ground for genuine spirituality, whether religious or secular.
Cost for each series $70.
Online Bookings will open 2 weeks before lectures commence. BOOK HERE
