Speaker: Professor Bill Lovegrove,immediate past President of the Nan Tien Institute
From February 2016 to February 2021 Professor Lovegrove was the President of the Nan Tien Institute, Australia’s only Buddhist-based accredited higher education provider. He has supervised several theses in the general area of psychology and mindfulness meditation at the University of Wollongong. Bill was Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Southern Queensland from 1st October 2003 until retiring as USQ’s longest serving Vice-Chancellor on the 31st December, 2011. Prior to his appointment at USQ, Professor Lovegrove was the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor at Griffith University.
Professor Lovegrove’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, First Class Honours and PhD in Psychology through the University of Queensland. He also completed an Advanced Executive Program at the Kellogg School of Business of North Western University in the United States. More recently he has completed a Graduate Certificate in Applied Buddhist Studies.
