PLENARY COUNCIL 2020 – Goulburn Valley SIP

  •  27 August 2018
     7:30PM - 8:55PM

With the ‘PLENARY COUNCIL 2020’ high on the agenda in our Catholic news and high in the hopes and dreams of Catholics across Australia, we thought it timely to host a conversation on this topic. But not just a conversation, an opportunity to contribute and an opportunity to take your learnings back to your small groups and parishes.

We are extremely lucky to have Phil Billington as our presenter and facilitator for the evening. I’m sure most of you know well Phil’s skills in this regard!

Since Phil left our diocese, she has established Ministry Without Borders ensuring that pro bono support for parishes, dioceses and charities is possible whilst still contributing to the educational mission. Phil’s ministry is focused on facilitating events, developing understanding of Mission & Catholic Identity, Retreats, Leadership Development grounded in Catholic Identity, Strategic Thinking & Planning, Parent Engagement, Reviewing Systems & Senior Roles in CEOs, Pastoral Planning and supporting Parishes, Systems & Schools.

Phil’s Key Projects 2015 – 2018 have included the Review of the Council of Catholic School Parents NSW/ACT; Review of the Catholic Schools’ Office (Diocese of Broken Bay); Development of Strategic Directions/Priorities for Catholic Education (Diocese of Cairns, Archdiocese of Hobart, CECWA, and Damascus College, Ballarat) and Tribunal of NSW; Facilitating Executive Development & Educational Leadership for Queensland Educational Leadership Institute 2015-2017; Retreats; Pastoral Planning with Parishes; facilitating Conferences including Cath Association School Principals Australia 2016; Geraldton Diocese 2018 & National Council of Priests 2018; and Professional Companion (Coach) for AISNSW.

In a number of instances, she has been working alongside Fr Noel Connolly and Lana Turvey-Collins from the Plenary Council Facilitation Team. As you can see, we are extremely lucky to have Phil’s knowledge, experience and facilitation skills for this evening.

This is really important conversation so do hope you can join us. And we do hope you can spread the word among family, friends and contacts. Everyone’s voice needs to be heard. We look forward to seeing you at the pub!
