Janak Sharma, Nepal
Janak is the Regional Manager for Caritas Nepal based in Kohalpur.
with
Eleanor Trinchera, Caritas Australia’s Program Coordinator for Bangladesh & Nepal
and
Kerry Stone, Sandhurst Diocese Coordinator Caritas/Justice, recently returned from Nepal

Our conversation in February coincides with the visit to our Diocese of this year’s Caritas Lenten Visitor who as you’ve already heard is Janak Sharma from Nepal. You will see in this year’s Project Compassion materials that Nepal is the lead story focusing on one of the young women involved in the Youth Empowerment Project managed by Janak.

Janak is accompanied by Eleanor Trinchera, Caritas Australia’s Coordinator for Bangladesh & Nepal.

And, having taken up the Caritas Solidarity Trekking Challenge in Nepal, Kerry recently returned from trekking in Nepal’s Annapurna region with fabulous views of the Himalayas, as well as visits to Caritas projects, so looks forward to sharing some of her experiences.

All in all, a great opportunity to discover Nepal – its mountains, beauty, people, religion, culture, resilience… and Caritas!

It promises to be another really interesting & enjoyable night. We hope you can spread the word among family, friends and contacts. And we look forward to seeing you at the pub!
