4th March: “20/20 vision – towards the future”. Speakers: Fr Daniel Dries, Rector of Christ Church St Laurence & Professor Jennifer Burn the Director of Anti-Slavery Australia within the Faculty of Law at UTS and the NSW Interim Anti-Slavery Commissioner.
Fr Daniel and Jennifer will open up our year’s theme and invite our questions and comments.

1st April: “Social Media Under the Microscope”. Speakers: Sebastian Szafjanski, Religious Education teacher, Marcellin College, Randwick & Bella Nolan, a Sydney University student – Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education and student at Sancta Sophia College.

6th May: “Beyond vision”. Speakers: Matt O’Kane has faced a number of challenges in his 44 years, including congenital blindness and childhood cancer.

3rd June: “Light on the Hill” . ) Moderator: Mary Shanahan RSCJ, OAM, a Religious Sister, former Principal of Sancta Sophia College at the University of Sydney and currently the Assistant Director of Mission, Kincoppal-RoseBay College; Panellists: Lyn Bannerman, a Social Worker, working predominently in courts with juveniles and assisting low-income families in distress; Gillian Clarke, Physics and Science Teacher, Marcellin College Randwick & Elisha Long, Director at Long Blackledge Architects

1st July: NAIDOC WEEK“Let’s work together for a shared future” Speakers: Brooke Prentis, an Aboriginal Christian Leader and a descendant of the Wakka Wakka peoples. Brooke is the Aboriginal spokesperson for Common Grace and Coordinator of the Grasstree Gathering; & Charles Trindall, an experienced Facilitator, an Aboriginal Affairs Project officer, Self Mastery Facilitator ( Pacific Institute) , ToP Facilitator,( Institute of Cultural Affairs); Singer and songwriter

5th August: “Beyond an Eye for an Eye”. Speakers: Terry O’Connell, OAM, a retired 30-year veteran with the New South Wales Police Service & Director of Real Justice Australia, a division of the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) & Elizabeth Lee Spiritual Director, Facilitator and Grandmother

2nd September: “Don’t throw it away” Speakers: Ryan Collins, Head of Sustainable Resource Programs at Planet Ark & Kendall Brenton Collins, Founder of Fashion Revolution Australia and Strategic Communications Manager at Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA)

7th October: 2020 Plenary Council Update: Speakers: Geraldine Doogue AO, an Australian journalist and broadcaster with an outstanding career in print, television and radio and Member of Catalyst for Renewal & Fr Michael Whelan sm Parish Priest, St Patrick’s Church The Rocks; Director of the Aquinas Academy, Sydney and Member of Catalyst for Renewal.

The Paddington RSL is on Oxford Street, opposite the Paddington Town Hall. Parking is available on Oxford Street after 6pm on Town Hall side and after 7pm on the RSL side.
